Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships are fully-funded scholarships for students who want to make a difference in their communities.

The Association of Commonwealth Universities is now accepting applications from Commonwealth citizens or refugees for the 2024/2025 QECS.
The scholarship provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in a Commonwealth low- or middle-income country.

Scholarship benefit
The award winners will receive:
- Tuition fees are fully covered; a living allowance (stipend) is provided for the length of the award.
- Economy flights back to their host country;
- a stipend for travel;
- Grant for research funding is available only upon request and is subject to approval.

Eligibility
- Citizens of Commonwealth countries or those having refugee status in a Commonwealth country are eligible.
- Applicants must apply for a QECS award in a country other than their home/citizenship country.
- There is no higher age limit for receiving a QECS Award.
- At the time of application, you must have finished your degree and graduated with a 2:1 or higher. You must submit a copy of your final transcript and degree certificate as part of the application process.
- The application is evaluated by the selection committee based on four important criteria:
- Academic history/references
- Plan of Study
- Development Impact and
- Post-Study Outreach and Creating Networks.
Application procedure for Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship
- Before applying, check the available courses, entry requirements, and application instructions.
- To have your application counted, choose a course offered at the university you selected at the beginning of the form.
- You must create a MyACU account before applying for a Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship. This allows you to store a draught application and return it to check the progress of your application once it has been filed.
