Your application for a spot at the university and the scholarship application process differ. Any scholarship offer is contingent on your acceptance into The University of Queensland’s Bachelor of Laws (Honours) or related dual degree programme.
Candidates for Undergraduate International Student Scholarships enrol in LAWS courses as part of an authorised law programme. The scholarships do not cover living fees, travel costs, international health insurance, or student services and amenities.

Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the T. C. Beirne School of Law Undergraduate International Student Scholarship, candidates are expected to meet the following criteria:
- International students must be the applicants.
- Candidates must have applied for a spot at UQ as international students but have not yet started attending.
- Candidates must be prepared to enrol in a full-time course of study.
- Candidates must be beginning an undergraduate law programme.
- Applicants who do not already have a scholarship that the Dean deems comparable.
Application Procedures
You must submit an online application for the T. C. Beirne School of Law Undergraduate International Student Scholarship; the process should take at least 20 minutes.
You will be required to have the following:
- Academic transcripts
- A copy of your CV
- Two reference letters.
You will also need to say the following:
- Why are you interested in studying law? What do you aim to accomplish?
- Your traits, which may include proof of your capacity for leadership, community involvement, accomplishments in the arts or sports, or anything else you deem significant
- Your financial hardship or need
- You’ve also applied for other scholarships.
