For its 2024/2025 MBA Scholarship, the TY Danjuma Scholarship Office accepts applications from African postgraduate students.
African postgraduate students admitted to MBA studies at the top 10 prestigious business schools worldwide are given financial assistance through the TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship.
The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship was established in 2011 to assist up to eight students annually.
Scholarships have been given to 50 University of Pennsylvania students overall since the program’s inception: Stanford Graduate School of Business, Wharton and Columbia Business Schools, University of California at Berkeley: Sloan, University of Cambridge: Judge, NSEAD, London Business School; Haas, University of Chicago: Booth; IE Business School Madrid; Harvard Business School; I; MIT.
The scholars have come from South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Morocco, and Côte d’Ivoire.

TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship Benefits
The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship offers financial assistance to postgraduate African students who have been admitted into MBA programmes at the world’s top 10 business schools, as determined by the Financial Times.
The following top ten schools are listed in the Financial Times MBA Global Ranking for 2024:
- University of Pennsylvania: Wharton
- Columbia Business School
- Insead (France/Singapore)
- Harvard Business School
- Northwestern University: Kellogg School of Management
- Stanford Graduate School of Business
- University of Chicago: Booth
- London Business School
- Yale School of Management
- IESE Business School (Spain)
No matter where they live, all qualified African MBA applicants to the top ten business schools (according to the Financial Times ranking) are eligible for the TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship.
Candidates granted grants will get them before the business school’s annual admissions date.
The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship will help African students fill up some of the financing gaps and lessen some of the financial pressure associated with enrolling in MBA degrees. Still, it won’t be adequate to serve as the main funding source for these programmes.

How to Apply for TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship
If you meet the scholarship criteria (you are an African student, who has been accepted on an MBA programme at a top 10 leading Business School, as ranked by The Financial Times MBA Global Ranking 2024 and want to apply for the scholarship, you should send the following information to mba@tyd-fo.co.uk between 15 May and 16 June 2024:
- Complete Name
- Citizenship
- Contact details
- Name of the business school where you were accepted to participate in their MBA programme.
- The year that you began attending the business school
- A replica of the Business School’s offer letter
- copy of your resume
- A copy of your budget, financial gap, scholarship, and loan confirmation letters.
Be aware that the TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship aims to support by offering additional funding. It won’t be sufficient to serve as the MBA’s main funding source.
Applications received before 15 May 2024 will not be processed.
