The International House Berkeley is now accepting room and board applications from exceptional students for the 2025 Spring Semester.
International House offers a once-in-a-lifetime intercultural leadership development and living opportunity if you are looking at future housing options.
The purpose of the I-House Scholarship program is to offer UC Berkeley students who demonstrate financial need an opportunity to experience first-hand cultures from all over the world.
In addition, enabling international students to learn about the ethnic and economic diversity in the United States as I-House residents.

I-House gives 1,100 students and scholars from over 75 different countries, including the USA, the chance to live and learn together for the duration of a typical 12-month cycle each year.
Deserving students may be given partial room and board scholarships to enable them to live at International House thanks to the donations of many kind alums and supporters to the organization.
I-House impacts the world by creating global citizens with outstanding leadership abilities and cross-cultural knowledge.
To achieve this goal, we must first make it easier for students from various national and socioeconomic backgrounds to participate in the I-House Experience.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of California International House Berkeley Room and Board Scholarships, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be full-time, upper-division (undergraduate junior or senior), or graduate students accepted and registered into a degree-seeking program at UC Berkeley. (Exchange students, extension students, summer resident students, and visiting scholars are not eligible.)
- Demonstrated financial need
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- A confirmed room reservation for the semester/academic year for which you are applying. (Double-Occupancy room for undergraduates, Low-Price Single or Regular Single for graduate students). Large or Premium Room contracts are NOT eligible for IH Financial Aid awardees. UC Berkeley students with enough units to qualify as Sophomore level are welcome to apply for housing and financial aid.
