    WIN is delighted to announce that applications are now open for their flagship Women in News (WIN) Africa Leadership Accelerator Programme 2025 for African Women Journalists.

    About Women in News (WIN) Africa Leadership Accelerator Programme

    You can apply for e-learning courses even if your nation is not a member of WIN Africa Leadership. To close the gender gap in management and senior management roles, WIN collaborates with media firms and their high-potential female employees.

    To help women media professionals in middle and senior management roles improve their careers, the curriculum aims to provide them with the necessary skills, information, and attitudes.

    WIN gives them the networks of support they require to assume more leadership positions inside their organizations and collaborates with those organizations to develop conditions that foster the success of high-potential women.

    Eligibility for WIN Africa Leadership Accelerator Programme

    • Applications are open for mid to senior-level journalists and editors from Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Somalia, and South Sudan.
    • Editors and journalists at the mid-to-senior level are the target audience for the WIN Leadership Accelerator.
    • Participants must work in the media industry and have two to three years of experience managing people or processes.
    • WIN Africa recognizes that gender is not binary. All media professionals who are women-identifying, as well as non-binary people, are welcome to apply to the Accelerator.

    Participating journalists and editors develop new skill sets and increase their ability through networking, coaching, training, and mentoring.
