    Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria, School of Health Information Management, ND, Pre-HND, and HND programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

    ABUTH School of Health Information Management Admission Requirements

    National Diploma

    National Diploma in Health Information Management is a program designed to provide candidates with the knowledge or skill to assist in planning, collating, organizing, disseminating, monitoring, and managing vital health information.

    This information is required at the local, state, and federal levels to ensure effective and comprehensive national health care delivery.

    The duration of the National Diploma program shall be two academic sessions of four semesters, including supervised clinical work experience.

    Entry Requirements

    • Five Credits, including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physic or Chemistry, and any other subject in not more than two sittings.

    Pre-Higher National Diploma

    The Pre-Higher National Diploma Programme in Health Information Management is a Programme designed to provide candidates with Health Records Technician Certificates as a prerequisite to undergo an HND Programme in Health Information Management.

    The duration of the Pre-Higher National Diploma program shall be one academic session.

    Entry Requirements

    • Five Credits, including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics or Chemistry, and any other subject in not more than two sittings.
    • Health Records Technician Certificate with a minimum of Lower Credit.

    Higher National Diploma

    Higher National Diploma in Health Information Management is a program designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills to assist in planning, collating, organizing, disseminating, monitoring, and managing vital Health Information.

    This information is required at the Local, State, and Federal levels to ensure effective and comprehensive National Health Care Delivery.

    The duration of the Higher National Diploma program shall be two academic sessions of four semesters, including supervised clinical work experience.

    Entry Requirements

    • Five Credits, including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics or Chemistry, and any other subject in not more than one sitting.
    • National Diploma Certificates in Health Information Management with a minimum of Lower Credit.
    • Evidence of compulsory Industrial Training (IT) or attachment to a reputable Health Institution.

      (II) To pay through a Bank, print your Transaction-slip and proceed to any Commercial bank of your choice (Make sure the RRR Number appears on the slip before printing and going to the bank)
    • After payment, come back to the portal http://apply.abuth.gov.ng
    • Click on LOGIN and enter the LOGIN ID and PASSWORD you created in step-3
    • Fill in all your details (Biodata, contact, Next of kin, Qualifications & passport Photo)
    • Make sure you agree with the terms and conditions by checking the box at the bottom of your submit form details, then Finally Submit (You can always come back to edit your application before the final closing date)

    Note That:

    1. Documents Upload is not required; simply Make Sure all your information is filled in correctly before you apply.
    2. After submission, from your profile page, go to MY FORMS and Print your form slip and Transaction-Slip. You are required to bring them to the entrance exams/interview.
