About Hubert Humphrey Fellowships in the USA for International Students

The Humphrey Fellowship Program is intended for seasoned professionals who desire to strengthen their leadership skills via an open exchange of knowledge and understanding on issues concerning the United States and the Fellows’ home countries.

The Fellowship, a non-degree program, provides beneficial possibilities for professional growth through chosen university courses, conference attendance, networking, and hands-on job experiences.

The program fields that qualify include the following:

  • Economic Development
  • Finance and Banking
  • HIV/AIDS Policy and Prevention
  • Law and Human Rights
  • Natural Resources, Environmental Policy, and Climate Change
  • Public Health Policy and Management
  • Public Policy Analysis and Public Administration
  • Substance Abuse Education, Treatment and Prevention
  • Teaching English as a Foreign Language

  • Approximately 200 candidates are awarded this fellowship yearly.

Individuals from Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, North Africa, East Asia and the Pacific, South and Central Asia, and the Western Hemisphere are eligible.

The scholarship benefits include; tuition fees, English language training, living expenses, etc.

Scholarship Requirements
