Rondine Cittadella della Pace has announced an annual scholarship opportunity for students to pursue peace and conflict studies in Italy.

If you are eager to study the art of dialogue and how to turn disagreement into a chance for social change, World House is the place for you.

Countries eligible for this program include those in the Middle East, Balkans, and South Caucasus, as well as Mali, Russia, and Colombia.

Eligibility for Rondine Cittadella della Pace Program

Candidates with the following characteristics will be chosen as participants:

  • Ages 21-28; Sensibility and willingness to work on themes of origin nation conflict and conflicts in general;
  • a penchant for leadership;
  • A penchant for public speaking and communication.
  • Predisposition to team and group work, as well as active listening; Predisposition to take on leadership responsibilities;
  • Predisposition to teamwork and active participation; Predisposition to civic engagement and volunteering.
  • Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Predispositions.
  • A project-oriented mentality with the goal of implementing social projects upon his/her return to his/her home country;
  • Understanding of civil society and the non-profit sector;
  • Sensibility to global sustainability or, at the very least, to some of the following issues: climate change, collaboration, welfare, civic and social economy;
  • A desire to cope with dispute resolution.
  • Remember that the official language of communication and activity in Rondine is Italian. As a result, the curriculum begins with a three-month intensive course in Italian language and culture.
  • English proficiency is also necessary for successful participation in the Rondine course.

Benefits of Rondine Cittadella della Pace Program in Conflict Resolution

During the participant’s whole stay, the association is responsible for funding the following costs:

  • The cost of Rondine training activities
  • The cost of lodging
  • Academic or occupational training costs (enrollment fees, learning materials, transportation)

A complete discussion of the economic aspects will be included in the Learning and Participation Agreement, which the candidate must read and sign before the trial period begins.

How to Apply for Rondine Cittadella della Pace Program in Conflict Resolution

  • Copy of passport, valid at least until June 2024;
  • Motivation letter;
  • Curriculum Vitae or Resume;

  • The candidate plans to develop the social impact project proposal during his/her experience at Rondine and to implement it upon return to his/her home country. The project should include the following points:
  • Social and geographical contest in which the project will be developed;
  • Objectives of the project;◦Expected activities;◦Methodologies to be used;
  • Expected time frame;
  • At least one recommendation letter, signed by a professor from the student’s university or a supervisor of a non-profit or association in which the candidate is active;
  • A copy of the driving license;
  • Notice on personal data protection (hand-signed)
