University Of Ottawa International English Admission Scholarship 2027 | Study in Canada — University of Ottawa
Being Canada’s largest bilingual university gives the University of Ottawa a distinctive institutional identity, though its International English Admission Scholarship specifically targets students studying in English rather than requiring bilingual proficiency.
About the Scholarship
The University of Ottawa offers international undergraduate students studying in English the opportunity to receive up to $70,000 CAD combined through its International English Admission Scholarship and International English Academic Excellence Scholarship. The International English Admission Scholarship specifically provides $7,500 per term, totaling $60,000 over the course of a standard four-year degree.
Separately, the International English Academic Excellence Scholarship offers 100 scholarships worth $10,000 CAD each to high-achieving international undergraduate students who hold an admission average of at least 95 percent, representing a particularly selective tier reserved for truly top-performing applicants.
Because these two scholarships are explicitly structured for students studying in English, international applicants should confirm which language stream their intended program falls under before assuming automatic eligibility, given the University of Ottawa’s broader bilingual institutional structure spanning both English and French programs.
As Canada’s largest bilingual university, located in Ottawa, Ontario, the University of Ottawa offers international students a distinctive combination of academic programs within Canada’s national capital, providing direct proximity to federal government institutions and a genuinely bilingual campus culture even for students enrolled in English-stream programs.
