This is to inform the general public and all Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMINNA) aspirants that the Department of Food Science & Technology Admission requirements has been published.

The sections below cover the O’Level credit passes, the four subjects sat in JAMB UTME, two Minna waiver remarks, the A Level route into Direct Entry, and the JAMB score needed to be eligible for screening.
Food Science and Technology at Minna accepts catering and craft subjects alongside the usual sciences at O’Level, which opens the course to candidates from technical and vocational colleges.
The waiver remarks matter more than usual here. The first restates the UTME combination in clearer terms, and the second sets out what diploma holders need and which level they enter at.

Catering Certificates Count at FUTMINNA Food Science
The O’Level list is unusually broad for a science course. Alongside English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics, it names Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, two Hotel and Catering craft courses and Basic Electricity.
That breadth does not carry into UTME. There the waiver fixes Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and one of Mathematics or Physics, so a candidate relying only on catering subjects will not have a valid registration.
Direct Entry takes two A Level passes in Chemistry and one of Biology, Physics, Agricultural Science, Botany or Zoology. Diploma holders should read the second waiver closely, since an HND at lower credit can lead to admission at 300 level.
