Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Matriculation Ceremony for 2024/2025

The matriculation ceremony for all newly admitted students will be held at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, on July 5, 2024, according to the university’s announcement.


These students will be formally admitted to the university during this important occasion, which will take place at 11 a.m. at OGD Hall on the main campus.

Collecting Academic Gowns

All Faculty Officers must pick up Academic Gowns for their new students from the Directorate of Students’ Affairs beginning on Monday, July 3, 2024, to prepare for this significant occasion.

For the collection of the Academic Gown, each newly admitted student needed to make an online payment of One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) and acquire a receipt. The robes can be picked up at the relevant colleges or faculties.

Matriculation Day

On matriculation day, the students will be formally welcomed to the institution in a grand ceremony. This rite of passage is a memorable event in their academic journey at OOU.

Return of Academic Gowns

After the matriculation ceremony, each Faculty must return all the Academic Gowns collected to the Directorate of Students Affairs.

The return of the gowns should be completed on or before Wednesday, July 12 2024.

The Faculties must submit a thorough list of the students who collected the Academic Gowns and the gowns. The return must also contain original copies of the receipts used by the students as proof of their payments.

The university administration would appreciate it if all parties involved treated this memorandum with the utmost priority it requires, and they look forward to celebrating the matriculation ceremony with the new students.
