Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun state, has officially announced the principal officer’s appointment for the established University of Ilesa.

The university’s vice-chancellor was given to Prof. Taiwo Asaolu from OAU Ile-ife. Alongside him, Dr. Mukaila Oyekanmi has been appointed Bursar, Mr. Funso Ojo has been named Registrar, and Mr. Adewale Ogunsipe was appointed the Librarian.
A renowned professor of Accounting and Finance, Prof.Asaolu held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Administration at OAU previously.
Additionally, he chaired a committee established by Governor Adeleke, the University of Ilesa review panel, to ensure the successful launch of the institution by addressing outstanding issues.
Olawale Rasheed, the spokesperson for the Governor, in a statement obtained in Osogbo on Thursday, shared the announcement.
According to Rasheed, Mr. Teslim Igbalaye, the secretary to the state government, conveyed the appointment letters to the newly appointed principal officers, and a meeting was held with them in his office.
During the meeting, he encouraged the appointees to maintain the virtues of integrity and professionalism that led to their appointment by Governor Adeleke.
