This article is designed for students who wish to study Business Administration and Management under the Faculty of Administration at Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY) Higher National Diploma (HND).
Confirm that Business Administration and Management is still listed at OSPOLY before you register for JAMB. The programme runs to Higher National Diploma level, and the two subject lists draw on very different pools.
Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, also known as OSPOLY, is a tertiary learning institution in Iree, Osun State, Nigeria. The Polytechnic was formerly a satellite campus of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
It became autonomous on 12 October 1992 when the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji, Isiaka Adeleke, signed the law establishing the institution alongside The Osun State College of Technology located at Esa-Oke in Osun State.
Osun State Polytechnic Iree also has Daily Part-Time Program (DPT) which is located at the Koko campus.
To study Business Administration and Management, candidates must meet the following requirements.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Business Administration and Management;
You require;
- English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and
- any three subjects from the following: Economics/Commerce,
- Business Methods,
- Principles of Accounts,
- Literature in English
- Geography
- Office Practice
- Biology/Agricultural Science,
- Chemistry,
- Physics,
- History/Government
- Typewriting
- Shorthand
English Language and Mathematics are the two named credits, with three more drawn from a twelve subject list. The bracketed note confirms that Literature in English cannot stand in for English Language.
That list is deliberately wide, taking in Typewriting, Shorthand and Office Practice alongside Biology, Chemistry and Physics, so candidates from almost any stream can satisfy it.

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Business Administration and Management under the Faculty of Administration at OSPOLY include;

The JAMB list is strictly commercial and social science. Mathematics is fixed beside the compulsory English Language, and two papers come from Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts and Economics.

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.
Wide Credits, Commercial JAMB Papers at OSPOLY Business Administration
English Language and Mathematics are compulsory on both lists, which accounts for half the credits and half the JAMB papers before any choice is made.
Beyond those two the pools diverge, with sciences and secretarial subjects counting at O Level but only commercial and social science papers in JAMB. The score needed is 120 or above for the 2026/2027 session.
