Prospective students find it hard to calculate their aggregate score and cut-off mark, since this varies for different institutions, including Federal University, Kashere (FUKASHERE). Here’s exactly how the calculation works, with a correctly worked example.
What Is Aggregate Score?
Your aggregate score is the combined figure FUKASHERE uses to rank candidates and determine the cut-off point for each programme. Cut-off points differ by course because they’re set according to how all the candidates who applied for that course performed.
How to Calculate FUKASHERE Aggregate Score
FUKASHERE’s JAMB examination is marked out of 400, while its Post-UTME screening is marked out of 100. The most consistently used working formula is a 50:50 split between the two:
- Divide your JAMB score by 8.
- Divide your Post-UTME score by 2.
- Add the two results together to get your aggregate score.
You’ll find a couple of other weightings reported for FUKASHERE elsewhere, including a 60:40 JAMB-to-Post-UTME split. FUKASHERE hasn’t published a single detailed breakdown we could independently verify, so treat the JAMB/8 + Post-UTME/2 method above as the most reliable working formula, and confirm against your actual admission status once released.
Say a candidate scored 240 in JAMB and 80 in FUKASHERE’s Post-UTME:
240 ÷ 8 = 30
80 ÷ 2 = 40
30 + 40 = 70
That candidate’s aggregate score would be 70 out of a possible 100. Candidates generally need a UTME score of at least 150 to be eligible for FUKASHERE’s Post-UTME screening.

Once you have your JAMB and Post-UTME scores, working out your FUKASHERE aggregate takes a minute. Check your result against your course’s cut-off on FUKASHERE’s official admissions portal for the 2026/2027 session.
