Common Mistakes Candidates Make When Checking This Result
A large number of candidates fail to access their result simply because of a typing error in their registration number or login details. Always copy these details directly from your JAMB slip rather than typing from memory.
Another common issue is trying to check results on a weak internet connection, which can cause a portal to time out before it loads your score. Where possible, use a stable connection and avoid peak browsing hours when the site is busiest.
It is also worth checking your result from more than one device if the first attempt fails, since some portals behave inconsistently on older browsers or outdated phone software.
Lastly, do not rely on screenshots shared by other candidates on social media as proof of what your own result should look like, since formats and figures can differ between departments.
For more background, see the official NMU profile.
Avoid waiting until the very last day to complete any step in this process, since server traffic tends to spike sharply as deadlines approach, slowing portals down for everyone.
If you share a computer or phone with family members during this period, log out of any portal after use, since login sessions sometimes stay open and could expose your information to someone else.
The Last Word
Now that you understand how the NMU post-UTME result works for 2026/2027, the most important thing is to act on it promptly rather than leaving it until the last moment.
Stay patient through the process. Admission exercises in Nigerian institutions can move slower than expected, but following the correct steps puts you in the best position.
Treat every deadline connected to NMU as firm, since institutions in Nigeria rarely make exceptions once an admission window has closed.
