Federal University, Lokoja (FULOKOJA) Postgraduate Admission Form For 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Federal University, Lokoja (FULOKOJA) School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) is currently accepting applications for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Candidates who meet the necessary qualifications are encouraged to apply for admission to one of the SPGS programs.

Federal University Lokoja Postgraduate Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Minimum duration: 2 semesters
• Maximum duration: 4 semesters

Requirements

• First degree (not below third class) or HND (not below lower credit) in a related discipline from a recognized institution
• Credits in English Language and Mathematics at O’level
• Any 3 additional relevant subjects at O’level

Master’s Degree (Academic and Professional)

• Minimum duration (full-time): 4 semesters
• Maximum duration (full-time): 6 semesters
• Minimum duration (part-time): 6 semesters
• Maximum duration (part-time): 8 semesters
• Method of study: coursework

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least second-class division or equivalent
• Relevant Postgraduate Diploma with at least credit level pass
• Bachelor’s degree in Third Class division and relevant Postgraduate Diploma
• Unclassified degree with average of “C” or 50% or above (subject to qualifying tests)
• 5 relevant O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics
• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
• Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School of Postgraduate Studies and University Senate

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.)

• Minimum duration: 2 semesters
• Maximum duration: 4 semesters
• Eligible for conversion to PhD

Requirements

• Master degree (Academic) with CGPA below 3.0 on a 4-point scale or below 4.0 on a 5-point scale
• Master degree (Academic) in cognate discipline with CGPA of 4 or above
• 5 relevant O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
• Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School of Postgraduate Studies and University Senate

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.)

• Minimum duration: 6 semesters
• Maximum duration: 10 semesters
• Method of study: coursework and thesis

Requirements

• Good Master’s degree (Academic) with CGPA of at least 4.0 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale in a relevant discipline
• Master of Philosophy degree in relevant discipline
• Bachelor’s degree with Second Class lower division
• 5 relevant O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics
• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
• Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School of Postgraduate Studies and University Senate

How to Apply for FULOKOJA Postgraduate Admission

To apply for FULOKOJA postgraduate admission, follow these steps:

1. Go to the University website (fulokoja.edu.ng).
2. Click on the PG Portal link.
3. Create a postgraduate account by clicking on the “Create your PG Account” button.
4. Fill in the required fields and create your account.
5. Login to the PG Portal using the email address for your created account.
6. Generate and print out a payment invoice containing your payment RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference).
7. Pay the application fee of N10,000.00 using REMITA services. This can be done either by card payment through the REMITA website (remita.net) or by visiting a bank that offers REMITA services and paying with your generated RRR.
8. Return to the University’s PG Portal to confirm your payment.
9. Complete your application form online and print out your Bio-data Slip.
