Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, has approved the return of the school tuition at Osun State Polytechnic Iree to the amount it was prior to the July 2024 Governorship election.
Tuition costs for new students at Osun State Polytechnic Iree have been returned to their previous amounts, following a request by the institution’s student union leadership and approval by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Previously, students pursuing science-related programs were required to pay N112,850, an increase from the previous amount of N67,850, while those pursuing management-related courses were asked to pay N97,300 instead of the initial N57,300.
In a memo dated December 15 addressed to the school management by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, the new fee regime was suspended due to the recent change in state leadership.
The memo, titled “Re: Notification of Approved Fees for 2024/2025 Academic Session in Osun State Polytechnic Iree,” directed the management of the institution to suspend the implementation of the new school fees.
