Here’s exactly how to work out your aggregate score for Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), with a correctly worked example.

AKSU is funded by the Akwa Ibom State Government and admitted its pioneer students in the 2010/2011 academic session.
What Is Aggregate Score?
Your aggregate score is the combined figure AKSU uses to rank you against every other candidate who applied for your chosen course. Cut-off points differ from course to course because they depend on how the whole pool of applicants for that specific course performed.
How to Calculate AKSU Aggregate Score
AKSU’s JAMB examination is marked out of 400, while its Post-UTME screening is marked out of 100. The formula is a straight 50:50 split between the two:
- Divide your JAMB score by 8.
- Divide your Post-UTME score by 2.
- Add the two results together to get your aggregate score.
Say a candidate scored 240 in JAMB and 80 in AKSU’s Post-UTME:
240 ÷ 8 = 30
80 ÷ 2 = 40
30 + 40 = 70
That candidate’s aggregate score would be 70 out of a possible 100.
