A Few Practical Tips
Keep a Screenshot or Printout. Once your result, admission status, or screening slip loads on the portal, take a screenshot or print it immediately. Portals occasionally go offline for maintenance right after a release, and having your own copy saves you from repeating the whole process later.
Avoid Peak Hours on the Portal. Thousands of candidates try to check their status within hours of an announcement, which can slow school portals to a crawl or cause timeouts. If a page refuses to load, wait an hour or try again early the next morning rather than assuming something is wrong.
Don’t Pay Anyone for a Shortcut. No official portal requires a side payment to a staff member, agent, or anyone claiming they can fast track or upgrade a result. If someone asks for money outside the recognised fee channels on the school’s website, treat it as a scam and report it.
Keep Your Login Details Safe. Your application number, JAMB number, and any password you set during registration are the only things you need to check your status. Write them down somewhere safe rather than relying on memory, since many candidates lose access simply because they forget these details.
