Transport Management Technology is run by the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology at Lagos State University. This page sets out the O’Level credits, the UTME subjects, the LASU waiver, two Direct Entry routes and the JAMB score.
Mathematics and Physics are the fixed points. Both are named O’Level credits and both head the UTME list, while the Direct Entry options are built around Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Geography.
LASU was established in 1983 by an enabling Law of Lagos State to advance learning and academic excellence. It sits in Ojo and remains the only state university in the former British colony, with more than 35,000 full-time students.

Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Transport Management Technology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics/Mathematics/Economics/Geography.
- ND/HND in Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Tech, and Engineering (Upper/Lower credit)
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into LASU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 160 or above in your JAMB result.
Credits and Passes Are Not the Same Thing at LASU Transport Management Technology
Read the O’Level line word by word. English Language, Mathematics and Physics must be credit passes, while Chemistry and either Economics or Biology are required only at pass level.
That distinction matters. A candidate rejected elsewhere for a Chemistry pass rather than a credit may still qualify here, because this course asks for less in that subject.
On the UTME side, English Language is compulsory and the other three papers are drawn from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Biology. The LASU waiver adds Geography as an accepted third subject.
Direct Entry takes two forms. Two A level passes in Physics, Mathematics, Economics or Geography, or an ND or HND at upper or lower credit in Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology or Engineering.
The JAMB screening threshold at LASU is 160. Check your Mathematics and Physics credits first, since those two are required at credit level on every route.
If Geography is your stronger subject, the waiver makes it a legitimate choice rather than a gamble, but confirm it on the LASU brochure for your admission year before relying on it.
