Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, formerly the Federal University of Technology, Yola, has announced the sale of admissions application forms for its pre-degree programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.
About MAUTECH’s Pre-degree Programme
Preparing secondary school graduates for their first year at the university required an intense refresher course, which is why the pre-degree program was created.
The programme aims to provide opportunities for university education to applicants who couldn’t be admitted through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) processes.
Starting in October, the nine-month course offers teaching by experienced and dedicated lecturers from various relevant departments in the university.
All pre-degree students are expected to sit for the UTME and obtain the National Minimum score determined by JAMB yearly before being admitted into any study programme at the university.
The programme’s academic standard is equivalent to that of JAMB and the university’s 100-Level curriculum. It’s important to note that the programme is non-residential, so students are expected to arrange their accommodation off-campus.
Structure of the MAUTECH Pre-degree Programme
The pre-degree programme offers courses in the management and science subjects required for admission into MAUTECH programmes.
Science subjects include Agricultural Science or Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Physics, Geography, Technical drawing, and Mathematics.
