NECO SSCE Internal Registration Guidelines and Instructions

Below are the Internal Registration Guidelines and Instructions for the 2025 NECO SSCE.

Registration Process

The 2025 NECO SSCE registration process will be offline and online.

Steps for the Offline Registration for Internal Candidates

These offline processes must occur in the school where a candidate wants to register.

  • School Management should download the Internal Offline Application from the Council’s website.
  • All candidates’ biographical information should be entered offline, and data should be copied from one computer periodically to another to prevent data loss.
  • After uploading a candidate’s information offline on the website and paying the registration cost, the candidate will be given a registration number to show that the process was successful.

Registration Eligibility

The only Candidates qualified for registration for the NECO SSCE Internal Examination are those in their final year of senior secondary school or SSS3.

Also, only school-based students from Nigeria and abroad are eligible for the NECO 2025 SSCE Examination.

Registration Procedure

Neco SSCE Registration is done online and offline; the candidate’s bio-data is entered offline using the NECO offline application. After that, all information is transferred to the online registration portal of NECO.

Offline Registration

The following steps make up the schools Offline Registration process:

  • All Schools should download the current 2025 NECO SSCE application.
  • All candidates’ bio-data and biometric data should be registered accurately through the offline application on the NECO SSCE portal.

Offline Validation

Following a successful offline NECO registration, schools should make sure to complete offline validation before making payment.

While completing offline validation, all details of the candidates should be printed on the offline photocards of all the candidates.

These details include Names, pictures, States, Local Governments, date of birth, sex, and the subjects for which the candidate desires to sit.

Any errors entered while registering offline will be corrected during the validation process.

Schools are encouraged to fill the NECO SSCE validation offline on the portal and not manually because all biodata errors are done by the school and not the NECO Exam Council.

Therefore all errors should be corrected offline before uploading online. A School is given the “NECO NON-VALIDATION” form if it fails to correct its candidates’ data before uploading it into the NECO online portal.

The fee for the “NON-VALIDATION” form is 7,000 naira only.

Payment For School | Center Activation

If the NECO State Office does not approve a School, data uploading and payment may not occur.

Schools must give their respective State Officers their Validation Documents before they activate the school to pay the necessary candidates to complete the registration.

Documents to be sent to NECO State Offices

  • Candidates’ signed photocards and an entry schedule that has been properly approved by the state ministry of education
  • Validation List with proper candidate signatures
  • Subject Analysis
  • An Entrance Schedule officially approved by the State Ministry of Education.

Schools should know that the Center will activate on January 10, 2025.

Upload and Payment Procedure

Only payments made online through the school’s NECO portal should be accepted. Registration quota is distributed in accordance with the amount paid into the NECO TSA following successful payment.

After the quota has been distributed, schools may choose which candidates to upload individually (if the payment is not for all candidates) by checking the selection boxes next to each candidate’s name or payment for all candidates.

Selecting all candidates by checking the “check all” box is important. To prevent being charged an additional price for an unprofitable center fee while paying in installments, it should be noted that the initial payment must cover at least 20 candidates.
