This article is designed to help students who wish to study Estate Management and Valuation Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology at Federal Polytechnic, Oko (OKOPOLY).

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any courses offered in OKOPOLY to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
The polytechnic is situated within Oko town in Orumba North Local Government of Anambra State.
The kernel of what eventually became the polytechnic was the brainchild of the Oko Progressive Union (OPU), greatly catalysed by the patronage, resourcefulness and result-oriented leadership of its pioneer chairman, a former Executive Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ekwueme.
The institution is strategically located and surrounded by several centres of industries, commerce and diverse local crafts such as Awka (well known for blacksmith/iron works), Nnewi (Industry and technological products) and Onitsha and Aba (reputed for Commerce and Industries).
The climatic condition of the host community ranges between 28 and 42 degrees centigrade.
It is one of Nigeria’s fastest-developing tertiary institutions with a highly futuristic disposition. It has a functional memorandum of understanding with universities within and outside the country. The Polytechnic has three campuses.
- The main campus at Oko occupies a total land area of 89 hectares.
- Ufuma campus: This occupies a total land area of 52 hectares.
- Atani campus: This occupies a total area of 40 hectares.
To study Home and Rural Economics, candidates must meet the following requirements.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Estate Management And Valuation if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require; a) IMT – ENU accepts Literature in English as one
of the
UTME subjects
Auchipoly, Ibadanpoly – Laspotech, Osuntech,
Akwaibompoly – Okopoly and Nekedepoly
Require credit pass in English Language.
Ekitipoly and Akath
Accept Woodwork, Literature in English, Metal Work and Accounts as course requirements.
Note: EkitiPOLY does not accept Metalwork.
Yabatech
Requires five credit passes at not
more than two sittings which must include
English Language, Mathematics and Economics or Geography, Physics/Chemistry and any of the following: Technical Drawing, Financial Accounting,
Biology/Agriculture Science. It does not accept Art for UTME subjects.
Ibadanpoly
requires 5 credit passes at not more than 2 sittings. It also accepts Economics,
Commerce and Basic Surveying as part of course requirements.
Mapoly and Fedpo -Ila
Require credit pass in Economics.
Edepoly
Requires Mathematics and Economics/Geography. as UTME subjects.
Ibadanpoly
Accepts Government, Social Studies and Commerce as part of course requirements.
Plapoly
Requires O/L credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any one from Economics, Biology, Agric. Sci, Physics, Chemistry and Fine Arts.
Akwaibompoly
Does not accept Agricultural Science, Commerce and Accounts.
Fideipoly and Rugipo
Require five credit passes at not more than two sittings to include a basic science subject, Mathematics, English Language and two other subjects from Chemistry, Fine Art, Geography, Economics, Physics, Biology/Agricultural.
Science, Government, Technical Drawing and Accounts.
Akanupoly
Requires four O’ level credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Economics, a basic science (Physics, Biology or Chemistry) and any of Geography, Agricultural Science, Technical drawing, Woodwork, Literature, Metal Work, Accounting or Basic Survey.
It also requires Mathematics and any two of Economics,
Physics, Chemistry and Agricultural Science as UTME subjects.
Offapoly
Requires Mathematics, Economics and any subject from Physics, Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geography or Building
Construction as UTME subjects.
Bauchipoly
Requires Economics, Mathematics and two of Physics, Chemistry, and Agric. Science in addition to PRE-ND from any recognized institution.
Imo – Poly
requires five credit passes at not more than two sittings which must include English
Language, Mathematics and Economics or Geography, Physics/Chemistry and any of the following: Technical Drawing, Financial Accounting, Biology/Agriculture
Science. It does not accept Art for UTME subjects but requires a credit pass in English Language.
Okepoly – Ogun poly and Kazaure
Require credit pass in Economics.
UTME Subjects
a)KADPOLY accepts Mathematics, Economics and anyone from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural
Science, Geography, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Technical Drawing or Fine Art.
b)OKEPOLY – OGUN POLY requires Economics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into Federal Polytechnic, Oko for the 2019/2020 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 100 or above in your JAMB result.
