    How to Calculate OSUSTECH Aggregate Score 2024/2025

    Many Students find it hard to calculate their aggregate score and their cut-off mark as this varies for different Institutions.

    Still, before this, we are going to tell you what aggregate and Post UTME Score means and what things are to be considered before calculating the aggregate score.

    Ondo State University of Science and Technology, also known as OSUSTECH, is a state-owned university located in Okitipupa in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State, Nigeria.

    OSUSTECH Aggregate Score

    OSUSTECH was established on 27 September 2010 and started academic activities in January 2011; and currently offers various programs of study under the Faculty of Science.

    In 2017, two new faculties were introduced. Which includes; 1. Faculty of Agriculture & Agricultural Technology. 2. Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Technology duly approved by NUC.

    The current vice chancellor is Prof. Robert Sunday Ogunduyile. In 2019, the council appointed Prof. Francis Igbasan as the first Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Institution.

    How To Calculate OSUSTECH Aggregate Score 

    To correctly calculate your aggregate, know that the JAMB Examination is made up of 400 marks, whereas the OSUSTECH Post UTME is made 100 marks.

    • Divide your JAMB score by 8,
    • Divide your Post UTME score by  2,
    • Add up the result.

    This is how to calculate yours.

    If Treasure scored 240 in her JAMB and 80 in her Post UTME, then her Aggregate score can be gotten by following these steps.

    240/8= 30

    80/2= 40

    40+ 30= 70

    Treasure’s aggregate score is 70.

    OSUSTECH Cut off Mark

    Jamb fixed cut-off mark for OSUSTECH is 180.

    Candidates with higher scores are first considered in admission basics candidates with lower scores though they might meet the cut-off mark of 180, may likely not be admitted. In fact, it is the higher your scores, the higher the chance of being admitted.

    OSUSTECH Departmental Cut-off Mark

    The Ondo State University of Science & Technology does not have a specific course cut-off mark.

    However, candidates who have scored a minimum of 200 in the UTME examination are eligible to apply for admission into any of their choice courses.

    Due to the high number of students wishing to study at the Ondo State University of Science & Technology, the admission process is competitive, and admissions are based on the higher the jamb scores, the higher the chances of being admitted.

    The Departmental Cut of marks of Ondo State University of Science & Technology are as follows;

    • 250 – Medicine
    • 220 – Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Computer, etc.)
    • 190 – Physical Science Courses (Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Physics, Computer Science, Geology, etc.)
    • 190 – Biological Sciences (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, etc.)

    OSUSTECH Nature of Admission Screening

    The Ondo State University of Science & Technology holds her admission screening exercises within a week or a couple of weeks, usually in two phases.

    Students who apply to study in the school are to proceed with the pre-screening exercise when once it is announced.

    Documents required for the pre-screening exercise are SSCE results and JAMB registration printout only.

    A candidate must often arrive early and locate his/her screening venue early. Candidates will be screened on the JAMB scores and their SSCE results.

    The second phase of the screening is after the admission lists might have been released. Candidates who have merited admission will be invited for another screening exercise. Here are all documents such as;

    • Original copies of their educational qualifications (Statements of Results/Certificates).
      N/B: Cases of awaiting results will NOT be accepted.
    • Birth Certification/Age Declaration.
    • A letter of good conduct from your Village Head or a responsible member of your
      community/or civil servant not below Grade Level 10 or equivalent in the private sector.
    • Certificate of Local Government of origin; and this notification of admission status
      slip
