Osun State University Secures NUC Accreditation

“In a noteworthy achievement for Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Osogbo, twenty-six (26) undergraduate and postgraduate courses have received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The announcement was made by Professor Clement, the University’s Vice-Chancellor, during discussions on the institution’s recent accomplishments.

Providing additional details on the accreditation, Ademola Adesoji, the University’s Public Relations Officer, elaborated on the comprehensive assessment carried out by various teams evaluating UNIOSUN’s teaching and learning facilities.

The assessment covered undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs, addressing the availability of personnel and overall quality.

The positive outcome of this assessment was officially communicated by the NUC, with the Vice-Chancellor expressing satisfaction with the results.

According to the statement, ‘The outcome was received yesterday from the NUC. I’m glad to inform you that 100% full accreditation, totalling 26 programs, was recorded for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Additionally, Professor Adebooye highlighted that Dr Samson Adesote from the Department of History and International Studies will be actively involved in the historical documentation of the Nigerian Army’s peacekeeping interventions in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

This participation comes as a special invitation extended by the Nigerian Army.
