Admission requirements for the Department of Education and Christian Religious Studies at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) are published below, covering the O’Level credits, the four JAMB papers, the Direct Entry route and the JAMB score.

Religious Studies is the teaching subject for this degree, and it is named in all three requirement sections. The surrounding subjects are left broad, described simply as Arts subjects rather than listed individually.
One detail sets this course apart from most. A TC II at merit level in five subjects is accepted in place of SSCE credit passes, which opens the department to candidates from a teacher training background.

The TC II Option in UNIABUJA Education and Christian Religious Studies
The O’Level requirement accepts two forms of evidence. Five SSCE credit passes, or a TC II at merit in five subjects. Either way the five must include English Language, Religious Studies and three other Arts subjects.
JAMB asks for four papers. English Language is compulsory, two Arts subjects are required with Religious Studies among them, and one other subject completes the combination.
Direct Entry mirrors that pattern. Two A level passes or an NCE at merit, in Religious Studies and one other Arts subject, with no diploma alternative listed.
A JAMB score of 180 or above is needed for screening. If you hold a TC II rather than SSCE results, confirm with the admissions office how your five merit subjects will be recorded before you register.
