Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit was approved for an upgrade to full university status in October 2025, becoming the University of Education, Afaha Nsit, with Professor Philip Afaha as pioneer Vice-Chancellor. If you’re searching for “AKSCOE cut-off mark,” here’s what applies to the institution under its new status.

University of Education, Afaha Nsit Cut-off Mark for 2026/2027
As a newly upgraded university, the institution now falls under JAMB’s university floor of 150 for degree admission in 2026/2027, not the lower 100 mark AKSCOE used as a college of education. The upgrade happened only about a year ago, so a full set of confirmed cut-off figures from the university’s own admissions office isn’t something we could independently verify for this cycle.
If the institution still runs a legacy NCE track during its transition, that track would follow the lower college-of-education floor of 100 rather than the university floor. Confirm directly with the admissions office which track you’re applying for before you rely on either number.
