Candidates who sat the Post UTME screening at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, can now confirm whether they have been offered admission for the 2026/2027 session.
The polytechnic is not publishing a separate list on its own website at this stage. Checking is done through the JAMB admission status portal, using the registration number you sat the UTME with.
The steps below cover how to run that check, what admitted candidates must do on CAPS afterwards, and what it means if nothing has appeared against your name yet.

Insight on AKWAIBOMPOLY Admission List
At present the only way to confirm an Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic offer is through the JAMB admission status portal. There is no separate school portal carrying the same information.
Steps to Check Your Admission Status
Have your JAMB profile login and registration number ready, then work through the portal as follows:
- Visit the JAMB Admission Portal.
- Use your unique username and password to log in.
- Scroll through the options available and locate the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab. Click on it.
- To validate your identity, select your examination year and input your JAMB registration number in the provided space.
- To conclude the process, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘. This action will display your current admission status.
Guidelines for Admitted Candidates
An offer showing on the portal is not final until you act on it. Three steps follow:
- Start by accessing the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). Here, you can either ACCEPT or REJECT the admission offered.
- Subsequent to accepting the admission, it’s advisable to print your JAMB admission letter.
- In situations where the course granted differs from the initial application, you can apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal.
Note for Candidates Awaiting Admission
If nothing has appeared against your name, it does not necessarily mean you have been turned down. Polytechnic admission runs in batches and continues over several weeks.
Check the JAMB portal regularly, and make sure your O-level results are properly uploaded on CAPS. Missing or mismatched results are one of the common reasons an otherwise qualified candidate is skipped.
Securing Your Place at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic
Candidates admitted into the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic ND programme for the 2026/2027 session should accept the offer on CAPS promptly and print the admission letter straight afterwards.
Keep that letter with your O-level results and screening documents, since clearance at Ikot Osurua will require the originals. Those still waiting should keep checking the portal rather than relying on third-party announcements.
