JAMB Change of Course & Institution/Data Correction Procedure 2024

Candidates who need to update their information on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal can now do so conveniently.

If you made errors while filling out your forms during the 2024 UTME Registration, you have the opportunity to rectify the following categories:

Names Correction: Candidates can apply for the correction of names in case of spelling errors or arrangement mistakes (e.g., Surname, First name, or Last name). Note that this correction can only be done once.
Date of Birth Correction: You can correct your date of birth, but this correction is also limited to one instance.
Passport Photograph Correction: If there are issues with your passport photograph, you can make the necessary adjustments. Again, this correction can only be done once.
Gender Correction: Supporting documents may be required for gender corrections, and this correction is a one-time opportunity.
State/LGA Correction: If you need to update your state or local government area (LGA), supporting documents may be necessary. Remember that this correction can only be done once.
Profile Correction: Ensure your profile information is accurate. Profile corrections are also limited to one occurrence.
Choice of Institution/Course Correction: Candidates can apply for a change of course or institution. Unlike other corrections, this one can be done multiple times, but separate payments are required.

Note: Changes related to course/institution, names, and date of birth are essential and should be handled with care.

JAMB Change of Course & Institution / Data Correction Procedure

Follow the procedure outlined below to effect any of the changes above:

Go to the JAMB portal.
Login with your Email and Password.
Click on ‘Registration 2024 only ’ from the list of services on the left side.
From the drop-down, select ‘2024 UTME Data Correction‘ / ‘2024 DE Data Correction‘ as your case may be.
Then, proceed with payment.

After payment, visit the closest JAMB office or a JAMB-accredited center to complete the correction process.

For 2024 and years below, follow the procedure outlined below to change your data on the JAMB portal.

Visit the JAMB E-facility portal.
Login with your Email and Password.
Click on ‘Application for Correction of Data (2024 Downward)’ from the list of services on the left side.
From the drop-down, select the one you wish to correct, i.e., Course/Institution, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, State/LGA of Origin.

Note that you may have to visit the JAMB State Office to make some corrections.
