Three Student Categories on the AKWAPOLY Table
Being a non-indigene costs a flat 13,150 naira extra at Pre-ND and ND I level, rising slightly to 14,150 at HND. The premium barely moves as you progress, which makes it easy to plan around.
Foreign students pay more again, between 6,500 and 9,750 naira above the non-indigene rate depending on level, with the widest gap at HND.
Level matters more than category. Moving from Pre-ND to ND I adds 7,000 naira for an indigene, and stepping up to HND adds another 10,250.
Each figure covers both semesters as a full payment, and the 10,000 naira acceptance fee sits on top, taking an indigene ND I fresher to 69,400 naira. Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has not published a hostel rate, and the deadline is March 2026.
