The management of the Benue State University (BSUM) has announced the deadline for payment of school fees and registration for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

BSUM splits its 2026/2027 school fees by level and faculty, with indigenes of Benue State paying a lower rate than non-indigene students across every faculty. Freshers face the highest first-semester charge, and the rate drops in each subsequent session as students move from 200 and 300 level toward 400 level.
Students should pay before the March 2026 deadline noted below, since late payment is not considered valid and can trigger a loss of studentship for the session. The acceptance fee and hostel fee are billed separately from tuition, as detailed further down this page.
BSUM School Fees and Registration Deadline
The Benue State University (BSUM) has announced the deadline for payment of fees. The deadline for fees is March 2026.
If you pay your school fees after the deadline, it is not considered valid, and you may go through many filing processes to get your money.
The penalty for defaulting is a loss of studentship for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
Also, note that the lost session shall form part of the total duration allowed for the Programme.
However, a student who has a genuine reason(s) to apply for Temporary Withdrawal from Studies for the session must follow the due process before the end of the First Semester of the session.

Law and Science/Social Science students follow a similar declining pattern each session.
On top of tuition, new students pay a ₦15,000 acceptance fee, and anyone taking hostel accommodation pays an additional ₦10,000 for the session. Confirm your exact indigene status and level with the bursary before the March 2026 deadline to avoid defaulting.
