The management of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB) hasn’t published a public 2026/2027 fee schedule we could verify. The school’s website doesn’t expose a standalone fees page, and the figures circulating on third-party sites for this session don’t agree with each other closely enough to trust.
FPTB School Fees: What’s Confirmed
Newly admitted and returning students should check the FPTB student portal for an exact, programme-specific invoice rather than relying on an estimate.
Fees at FPTB are low relative to many federal polytechnics and are broken into itemised charges covering registration, examinations, library, ID card, medical, practicals, tuition and a few smaller levies, rather than one flat tuition figure.

How Much Is Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Acceptance Fee?
We found one specific figure (N15,000) cited for the acceptance fee, but couldn’t independently corroborate it against the school’s own site. Confirm with the bursary before you pay. New intakes must pay their acceptance fee to be considered enrolled students.
How Much Is Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Hostel Fee?
As of the last confirmed schedule, hostel accommodation was optional at N6,000 per student. This is likely still low relative to other schools, but check the current figure with student affairs since it’s been a couple of sessions since we last verified it.
Why the FPTB HND Total Falls Below ND
The most surprising line on these tables is the HND total of N26,000 against N45,200 for ND. An HND student at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi pays less, not more, than someone starting out.
The explanation is in the rows themselves. The ND schedule carries a N20,000 tuition line that does not appear on the HND list at all, and ND registration is N500 higher as well.
IJMB students sit between the two at N44,000, with the weight falling on registration at N20,000 and examinations at N12,200 rather than on tuition.
All three totals come from the 2023/2024 session and none is confirmed for now. Accommodation was optional at N6,000, and the N15,000 acceptance figure could not be corroborated, so the bursary is the place to settle both.
