The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has not released a resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session yet. If you’re trying to find out the FUTO resumption date for both old and new students, the honest answer right now is that it hasn’t been announced.
FUTO Resumption Date 2026/2027 for First & Second Semester
FUTO’s academic resources page, where the official calendar gets posted, doesn’t have anything listed for 2026/2027 yet. For context, new students moved into residence for the 2025/2026 session on Tuesday, 4th November 2025, with returning students registering from Thursday, 6th November 2025. That’s useful background on FUTO’s usual pattern, not a prediction for 2026/2027.
We’ll update this page as soon as the Senate approves and publishes the 2026/2027 calendar. Until then, check FUTO’s academic resources page or confirm directly with the Registrar’s office.
