The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has Accredited Kings University, Odeomu.

On Thursday, April 21st, Kings University was awarded the certificate of Accreditation for its B.Sc. Accounting program by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

The accreditation ceremony, where several tertiary institutions and tuition centers were acknowledged, occurred at ICAN’s Victoria Island Office in Lagos.

This accreditation endorses Kings University’s B.Sc. Accounting program, allowing its students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with an additional ICAN certificate.

Mrs. Comfort Olu Eyitayo, the President of ICAN, emphasized in her address that the accreditation and recognition initiative was driven by the organization’s recognition that cultivating proficient professionals necessitates stringent quality control in their preparatory training.

The criteria for accreditation include assessing the quality and quantity of educators and the instructional facilities utilized in delivering the training.

Eyitayo highlighted that ICAN’s accreditation of tertiary institutions and tuition centers is designed to ensure high-quality accounting education aligned with the IFAC global standards, which also serve as the foundation for ICAN examinations.

While extending congratulations to the accredited institutions and tuition centers for meeting all the requisite conditions for offering certificate courses in alignment with ICAN’s mission.

Eyitayo urged them to maintain the elevated standards that earned them the accreditation certificate.
