Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, released its approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session following its 63rd Regular Senate Meeting.
This post covers what we could independently confirm from more than one source, with the Harmattan semester’s registration and lecture dates cross-checked and mathematically consistent, and a lighter note on the Rain semester where only a single source gave us dates.
KWASU Academic Calendar (Harmattan Semester), 2025/2026
| Activity | Date |
| Online registration and orientation begin | Monday, 29th September 2025 |
| Registration period | 2 weeks, plus 1 week of late registration |
| Lectures commence | Monday, 20th October 2025 |
| Instruction period | 15 weeks |
| Examinations | Monday, 19th January – Saturday, 14th February 2026 (3 weeks) |
| Marking and results computation | 2 weeks |
| Senate approval and release of results | Thursday, 12th March 2026 |
The registration start date, the lecture start date, and the overall semester structure (15 weeks of instruction, 3 weeks of exams, 2 weeks for marking) matched across two independent reports of the calendar, and every date above lands on the day of the week it is supposed to, so we are treating this as reliable.

We only found Rain Semester dates from a single source, so hold these more loosely than the Harmattan semester dates above:
- Monday, 6th April 2026: Rain Semester lectures commence
- Monday, 6th July – Saturday, 1st August 2026: Rain Semester examinations
KWASU has not yet published registration or marking/results dates for the Rain Semester as far as we can confirm. Check the university’s official channels, or your departmental notice board, before relying on the Rain Semester dates above, and we will firm this section up as more sources confirm it.
