Why Science Subjects Dominate This LASU Education Track
Technology and Vocational Education sits inside the Faculty of Education, but its subject list reads like a science programme. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry appear in the JAMB combination, and the same three subjects reappear in the A Level route.
The O Level side gives you a little more room. Five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, will satisfy the requirement, and LASU accepts an NTC or NBC qualification in place of the standard certificate.
Direct Entry applicants have two clear options. An NCE at merit level in two relevant science subjects works, provided you also meet the UTME requirements. Alternatively, two A Level passes drawn from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry will qualify you.
Whichever route you take, the 160 JAMB score remains the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session. Confirm your subject combination before you sit the exam, because a mismatched choice cannot be corrected after the fact.
