The Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) HND admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session has been released.
The Management of Maritime Academy of Nigeria hereby invites suitable and qualified candidates for admission into various Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes of the Academy for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.
Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) HND Courses & Duration
The duration of Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes is two (2) years, divided into four (4) semesters. The following programmes are on offer:
- Nautical Science
- Marine Engineering
- Maritime Transport and Business Management
Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) HND Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.
Nautical Science
a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include.
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics
– Geography,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Nautical Science with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or another accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Also, candidates must have a JAMB Registration number.
c. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one year of cognate work experience in a relevant organization.
d. Candidates with PASS at the National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or another accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years of Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organization.

Marine Engineering

Maritime Transport and Business Management
a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include:
– Mathematics,
– English Language,
– Economics,
– and any two of Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting, and Business Management obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Maritime Transport and Business Studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or another accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Also, candidates must have a JAMB Registration number.
c. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of one year of cognate work experience in a relevant organization.
d. Applicants with PASS at the National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or another accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organization.
Academy Transcript
Academic Transcripts of Applicants from other accredited institutions must reach the Academic Registrar on or before the Closure of the application portal and send a copy to admission@maritimeacademy.gov.ng.
How to Apply for MAN HND Admission Form
Online registration will commence on Monday, 11th July 2022, and end on Friday, 2nd September 2022.
Registration Fee: N20,000.00.
Eligible candidates should log on to the Academy website www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng, and take the following steps:
- Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
- Create an Account
- Generate and Print the Payment Slip
- Proceed to any of the banks listed on the portal to make payment using the eTranzact Payment Platform or pay online.
- Return to the Academy Portal to complete the Registration Form.
Candidate must download Applicant Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal. This form must be duly completed and signed before uploading to the portal.
Candidates are expected to undergo the following medical test at any Government Hospital and upload medical results on the application portal.
- PCV
- VDRL
- HBV
- HIV1/2
- FASTING BLOOD SUGAR (FBS)
- PT (Pregnancy Test for Females)
- URINALYSIS
- GENOTYPE
- BLOOD GROUP
The medical test must be carried out between 11th July 2022 and 26th August 2022.
Note: The uploaded test result will be subject to further confirmation when invited for Screening.
