OAU School Fees and Registration Deadline

The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has announced the deadline for payment of fees. The deadline for fees is March 2026.

If you pay your school fees after the deadline, it is not considered valid, and you may go through a lot of filing processes to get your money.

The penalty for defaulting is a loss of studentship for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

Also, note that the lost session shall form part of the total duration allowed for the Programme.

However, a student who has a genuine reason(s) to apply for Temporary Withdrawal from Studies for the session must follow the due process before the end of the First Semester of the session.

New intakes must pay their acceptance fees to be considered students.

How Much is OAU Hostel Fee?

Students who want to stay in the hostel accommodations that are made available by the school authorities would have to apply before time.

OAU hostel fees accommodation fee is (₦25,000) twenty-five thousand Naira only for an academic session.

The downside to this is that if you are someone who likes privacy, you may not be able to live your private life in these hostels.

There are sometimes up to 10 students per room. The hostels have public bathrooms and toilets. Hence, you shouldn’t expect it to be as comfortable as that of people living outside the hostel.

How Steeply OAU Charges Drop After First Year

The fall between fresher and returning rates is sharp. Arts and Law students go from N43,700 to N19,700, science from N54,700 to N27,700, and clinical programmes from N57,700 to N30,700.

That is a saving of N24,000 in the arts band and N27,000 in the other two, so the first year carries more than twice the charge of every year after it.

One line on the returning schedule deserves attention. An extra semester in rain or harmattan is billed at the full session rate, N19,700 or N27,700, rather than at half, so repeating a semester costs as much as a whole year.
