Admission Requirements

Candidates hoping to make OSPOLY their academic home must adhere to the following:

  • Hold a National Diploma (ND) in the desired discipline with at least a Lower Credit from an NBTE-accredited institution.
  •  Possess a minimum of ONE year post-ND industrial work experience.

Special Consideration: Candidates with an ordinary Pass Grade in the ND and a minimum of TWO years post-ND industrial work experience may also be considered.

HND Programmes in the Faculty of Science

Science Laboratory Technology Programmes:

1. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Science Laboratory Technology:

  •  Chemistry option.
  •  Biochemistry option.
  •  Microbiology option.
  •  Environmental Biology option.

 2. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Food Technology.

 3. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Statistics.

Entry Requirements

Science Laboratory Technology (Chemistry Option)

  • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
  • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, and Chemistry
  • Choose any two: Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, Economics/Commerce, and Further Mathematics.

Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology Option)

  • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
  • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, and Biology.
  • Choose any two: Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics/Commerce, Further Mathematics, and ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies.

Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry Option)

  • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.

  • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
  • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics.

  • Choose any one from Geography, Technical Drawing, and more.

Urban and Regional Planning

Entry Requirements
  • For Art and Design (Graphic Design Option and Textile Design Option):
  • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
  • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics.
  • Choose any three from Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Fine Arts/Visual Art/Technical Drawing, and more.
