The management of Plateau State University (PLASU) has confirmed its school fees structure for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
Newly admitted and returning students are advised to pay up all the fees required by the school before the registration deadline on their portal.
PLASU School Fees: No Increase for 2026/2027
Good news for PLASU students: the Students’ Union Government confirmed there is no increment in tuition fees for the 2026/2027 academic session. The fee breakdown below, which has held for a couple of sessions now, still applies.
If you pay your school fees after your registration deadline, it may not be considered valid, and you could go through extra filing processes to sort it out.
The penalty for defaulting is a loss of studentship for the 2026/2027 Academic Session, and a lost session forms part of the total duration allowed for the programme.
A student with a genuine reason to apply for Temporary Withdrawal from studies for the session must follow due process before the end of the first semester.

How Much is PLASU Acceptance Fee?
The Plateau State University (PLASU) charges ₦5,000 for its acceptance fee.
New intakes must pay their acceptance fee to be considered students.
How Much is PLASU Hostel Fee?
Students who want to stay in the hostel accommodations made available by the school authorities would have to apply before time.
PLASU hostel accommodation fee is ₦10,000 (ten thousand Naira) for an academic session.
Where the PLASU Non-Indigene Premium Actually Sits
The two schedules differ by ₦50,000 for freshers, and only half of that is tuition. The rest comes from eight smaller lines that are simply charged at a higher rate to students from outside Plateau State.
Student record, property maintenance, sport development, registration, development charge, certificate verification and the matriculation gown all cost more on the out-of-state schedule, while library, examination, medical and ICT stay identical.
Returning students pay ₦36,000 as indigenes and ₦82,000 otherwise, a slightly narrower gap once the one-off entry charges fall away. Hostel accommodation stays at ₦10,000 either way.
Freshers should also budget the ₦23,500 block of other levies, which covers the ₦5,000 acceptance fee, the ₦2,500 admission form, ₦6,000 for entrepreneurship and ₦10,000 for accommodation.
Since PLASU hasn’t raised fees for 2026/2027, these figures should carry over cleanly, but always confirm the exact total for your department and level on the PLASU portal before paying.
