University of Jos (UNIJOS) Post-UTME/DE Screening Form for 2024/2025 Academic Sessions

The Senate of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) has approved the screening of all qualified candidates who applied for admission through the 2024 (UTME/DE) conducted by the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB).


Candidates who choose the University of Jos as their top choice and who achieved the institutional and differential cut-off marks shown below are eligible for the screening process.

UNIJOS Post UTME Eligibility and Cut-off Marks

The UTME/DE candidates must have chosen the UNIJOS as their first choice and scored not less than the institutional cut-off marks for various faculties and programmes. The cut-off marks for the last two academic sessions are as follows:

Faculty of Agriculture

  • Agricultural Science: 170, 180

Faculty of Arts

  • Mass Communication: 200, 220
  • Theatre and Film Arts: 190, 200
  • All other programmes: 170, 180

Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences

  • Biochemistry: 190, 200
  • Faculty of Clinical Sciences
  • Medicine and Surgery: 230, 240

Faculty of Dental Sciences

  • Dentistry: 220, 230

How to Apply for UNIJOS Post-UTME/DE Form

All candidates are required to follow these steps:

  • Visit the University of Jos portal
  • Click on 2024 UTME/DE SCREENING
  • Enter the candidate’s JAMB Registration Number and click “Get Started.”
  • Candidates must provide a contact phone number, email, and password and confirm the password.
  • Check the email account for a confirmation link from the University and click on it to confirm your account.
  • Log in to the portal using the email and password provided in step 5.
  • Process payment for the screening charges from your dashboard by selecting the preferred payment option or channel and following the instructions.
  • After successful payment, enter five relevant O-level subjects, their grades, and the exam body, then click “Upload.” Note that results editing will not be allowed once post-JAMB screening is closed.
  • Print the Screening Registration Slip, log out, and await further communication from the University.

UNIJOS Direct Entry Screening Exercise

Direct Entry (DE) candidates who applied through JAMB and chose the University of Jos as their first choice are also eligible for the online screening exercise.

DE applicants should follow steps 1 to 10 as above and include their A-level subjects/qualifications in step 9.

Important Note on JAMB ‘O’ Level Requirement

JAMB has stated that it will not clear any shortlisted candidate who does not have ‘O’ level results.

All candidates are strongly advised to visit any JAMB Office or accredited CBT centre nearest to them to upload their ‘O’ Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and NBAIS) into the JAMB portal.

Candidates who do not meet the University’s screening conditions are advised to change their course of choice or transfer to other institutions.

Please note that supplying false information will result in disqualification. Candidates are allowed to use a maximum of two different ‘O’ level examination results.
