If you just gained admission at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), note that the university’s approved resumption date for 2026/2027 is Monday, 16th November 2026, when newly admitted students begin registration. Since resumption hasn’t even happened yet, matriculation is still some way off.
For context, UNIMAID’s 44th matriculation ceremony, covering the 2025/2026 session, was held on Tuesday, 10th March 2026, several months after that session’s own resumption. If 2026/2027 follows a similar pattern, expect the ceremony well into the new year rather than before classes even start.
