Osun State University (UNIOSUN) periodically opens Inter-University Transfer applications for students currently enrolled at other universities who want to transfer their studentship.
Candidates intending to transfer their studentship to UNIOSUN should visit the university’s admission portal to complete and submit an application once the transfer window is open for the 2026/2027 academic session. Applicants must provide correct information, which will be verified accordingly, and are expected to forward their academic transcripts to the Registrar of Osun State University directly from their current institution’s academic affairs unit.
UNIOSUN Inter-University Transfer Eligibility
- Any candidate applying for transfer of studentship to Osun State University must be a current student of the university from which they seek transfer.
- Any intending transferee whose studentship has lapsed in their former university will not be considered for transfer to Osun State University.
- Any student transferring from other public and private universities to Osun State University must transfer into the same course they’re studying, or any other course, provided they satisfy the requirements.
- The applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5/5.00 as of the last session in their university.
- The transfer application must fall within the admission window set by Osun State University for that session.
- The applicant must meet the university and programme-specific admission requirements, including the minimum O’Level entry requirements, and a UTME score not lower than UNIOSUN’s cut-off mark for the same course in their year of admission.
- Candidates expelled or withdrawn from other universities over academic or disciplinary issues will not be considered for transfer.
- Any applicant who fails to process their academic transcript directly from their Academic Affairs Unit to Osun State University won’t be considered. A student’s personal copy of the transcript is not acceptable.
- Any applicant who fails to submit a sworn court affidavit on their criminal and disciplinary status in their present university will not be considered.
- If an irregularity is discovered in a student’s submitted papers, they’ll face the Students Disciplinary Panel and appropriate punishment will apply.
- Transferees are typically admitted at 200 level for 4-year courses, and 300 level for courses longer than 4 years, subject to space availability.
UNIOSUN has historically excluded Law (LLB), Common and Islamic Law (LLB), Nursing (B.N.Sc.), and MBBS from inter-university transfer in some sessions, so confirm current restrictions on the portal before applying for these programmes.
