The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has not confirmed a new Post-HND to B.Tech admission form for the 2026/2027 academic session through its School of Science Laboratory Technology (SSLT). The most recent cycle we could verify on the university’s own site had sales close on 30th April 2025, and there’s no dated notice yet announcing a 2026/2027 round.
One correction worth flagging: the SSLT Post-HND office is at the SSLT Administrative Building, University Park, University of Port Harcourt, on the main Port Harcourt campus, not an “Abuja Campus.” UNIPORT doesn’t run this programme out of Abuja, so don’t let a stray reference to that send you to the wrong place.
The programme trains HND, Pass Degree, or Third Class Degree graduates in Science, Engineering, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Agriculture, and Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) toward a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree with NISLT Professional Certification.

Admission Requirements
- A minimum of Pass in Final Diploma (FD) NISLT, or Lower Credit HND, or a Pass/Third Class Degree in Science, Engineering, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Agriculture, SLT, or a related field from a recognized Monotechnic, Polytechnic, or University.
- O-Level credit passes (GCE, SSCE, WASC, NECO, NABTEB, City and Guilds, or equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, or Further Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
Duration
The minimum duration is two academic calendar years, each made up of three terms of evening and weekend classes.

Forms are typically obtained from the Post-HND Office, SSLT Administrative Building, University Park, University of Port Harcourt. The last confirmed non-refundable fee was ₦10,000, paid through Remita at utmedetails.uniport.edu.ng: select Miscellaneous & Other Payments, choose SSLT Post-HND as the service, enter the amount, fill in your details, and either print your RRR for bank payment or pay online via Remita.
