How to Calculate UNIUYO Aggregate Score 2024/2025

UNIUYO

Many Students need help calculating their aggregate score and cut-off marks as this varies for different Institutions.

Still, before this, we will tell you what aggregate and Post UTME Score means and what things are to be considered before calculating the aggregate score.

What Is the Aggregate Score

That means the candidate must get at least 50 Questions Correctly. The aggregate score will determine the cut-off point for admission into each program.

Cut-off points for each course will be determined by the performance of all the candidates who applied.

What Is Post Utme Score

After every UTME exercise, the exam body sets a particular mark {e.g., 120}. This mark is a score a candidate must have or cross to qualify them to sit for the chosen school’s POST UTME exercise.

This mark is announced to all schools to enable them to decide the number of candidates they will admit.

After the school’s decision, they announced a mark that must not be lower than the mark the UTME body fixed.

Any candidate who crosses the mark set by the UTME body and does not reach the chosen school’s mark is NEVER eligible to sit for the school’s POST UTME.

This mark or score set by the school admission board is known as SCHOOL’S CUT-OFF MARK.

How To Calculate UNIUYO Aggregate Score

To correctly calculate your aggregate, know that the JAMB Examination has 400 marks, whereas the UNIUYO Post UTME is 100 marks.

  1. Divide your JAMB score by 8,
  2. Divide your Post UTME score by 2,
  3. Add up the result.

This is how to calculate yours.

If Treasure scored 240 in her JAMB and 80 in her Post UTME, then her Aggregate score can be gotten by following these steps.

240/8= 30

80/2= 40

40+ 30= 70

Treasure’s aggregate score is 70.

Jamb Fixed Cut-Off Mark

The fixed cut-off mark set by JAMB is 180. Therefore, any student who scores 180 and above is eligible for admission to the University of Uyo, known as UNIUYO.

Nature of Admission Screening

The University of Uyo conducts the admission screening exercises within a week(s), and it is in two stages. Students who applied for UNIUYO in UTME are to go for the pre-screening exercise once it has been announced.

The required documents for the pre-screening exercise are only the SSCE result and the registration printout.

A candidate must often arrive early and locate their screening venue early. Candidates will be screened on the JAMB scores and their SSCE results.

The second screening phase is after the admission lists might have been released. Applicants who have merited admission will be invited for another screening exercise. Here are all documents such as;

  • Original copies of their WAEC/NECO certificate or Statement of Result.
  • Birth Certification/Age Declaration.
  • Local Government of origin
  • Admission status slip
  • Awaiting results will NOT be accepted.
  • A letter of recommendation from a notable member of the society.
