The management of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced the deadline for payment of school fees and registration for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

Newly admitted and returning students are advised to pay up all the fees required by the school before the deadline.
UNIUYO School Fees and Registration Deadline
The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced the deadline for payment of fees. The deadline for fees is March 2026.
If you pay your school fees after the deadline, it is not considered valid, and you may go through a lot of filing processes to get your money.
The penalty for defaulting is a loss of studentship for the 2026/2027 academic session. Also, note that the lost session shall form part of the total duration allowed for the Programme.
However, a student who has a genuine reason to apply for Temporary Withdrawal from studies for the session must follow the due process before the end of the First Semester.
How Much Is UNIUYO School Fees?
UNIUYO school fees rose by roughly 10 to 17 percent going into the 2025/2026 session, part of the broader round of fee reviews across Nigerian federal universities, and they vary depending on the faculty you are enrolled in.

UNIUYO School Fees For New Students (Freshers)
Based on cross-checked reporting from the most recent fee review (effective for the 2025/2026 session and carried forward as the working figure for 2026/2027 pending any further review), UNIUYO school fees for 100-level and Direct Entry freshers break down roughly as follows:
- Arts, Education, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Computing, and similar standard programmes: around N111,600 (100L) / N113,600 (Direct Entry).
- Engineering, Architecture, Law, and Pharmacy: around N136,600 (100L) / N138,600 (Direct Entry).
- Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, and Allied Health Sciences: around N171,600 (100L) / N173,600 (Direct Entry).
These figures are not official UNIUYO circular numbers (we could not locate a published PDF fee schedule on uniuyo.edu.ng), but they are consistent across more than one independent report, so treat them as a close estimate rather than a guaranteed exact quote. A further modest increase for 2026/2027 is possible, so confirm your own faculty’s figure on the student portal before paying.
Beyond tuition, freshers also pay a set of smaller mandatory charges, including:
- Student ID card – 1,000 naira.
- Sports fee – 1,000 naira.
- Information Technology – 2,000 naira.
- Lab fee (science students only) – 10,000 naira.
- Examination fee – 2,500 naira.
- Matric gown – 1,000 naira.
- Result verification – 5,000 naira.
- Faculty journal – 2,000 naira.
- Students handbook – 1,000 naira.
- TISHIP (health insurance) – 5,000 naira.

UNIUYO School Fees For Returning Students 2026/2027
Returning students who have completed at least one year are not required to pay acceptance or caution fees again. Based on the same fee review, returning student charges now fall roughly between N70,450 and N132,450 depending on faculty and level, a step up from the older flat N21,000 (science) / N15,000 (non-science) figures that used to apply before the sector-wide fee increases. Confirm your exact level and faculty charge through the student portal before paying.
UNIUYO School Fees For Part-Time Students
Part-time tuition at UNIUYO has historically ranged between N70,000 and N320,000 depending on the course, with part-time postgraduate programmes going up to around N450,000. These figures have not been independently reconfirmed for 2026/2027, so check with the School of Continuing Education before registering.
How Much Is UNIUYO Acceptance Fee?
UNIUYO’s acceptance fee moved up from the old N20,000 figure. For the 2025/2026 session, newly admitted candidates paid a non-refundable N30,000 acceptance fee, though at least one source lists N25,000 for a later cycle. Confirm the exact current amount on the admission portal before paying, since this changes most sessions.
New intakes must pay their acceptance fees to be considered students.
How Much Is UNIUYO Hostel Fee?
Students who want to stay in the hostel accommodations made available by the school authorities would have to apply before time.
UNIUYO’s hostel accommodation fee has been reported around N25,000 for an academic session, a figure that has not increased as sharply as tuition. Considering the cost of private housing in Uyo, that is still fairly affordable, though rooms are often shared, sometimes with up to 10 students per room and shared bathrooms, so don’t expect the comfort level of living off-campus.
