The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) matriculation ceremony for the 2026/2027 academic session has not held yet, but a date is on the university’s approved academic calendar.
If you have just gained admission at the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), here’s what the school’s Senate-approved calendar says about matriculation timing.
UNIUYO’s Senate approved the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic calendars at its 141st meeting on 29th September 2026. Per that calendar, first semester resumes 2nd November 2026, orientation for new students runs 7th to 11th December 2026, and matriculation follows right after orientation, in mid-December 2026. Different sources citing the same calendar list the exact day as either 11th or 18th December, so treat mid-December as the reliable window until UNIUYO’s official notice confirms the precise date.
