Borno State University, Maiduguri

Borno State University is situated in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. It was established in 2016. It has five faculties with over 20 departments.
The University’s pioneer and current vice chancellor is Prof. Umar Kyari Sandabe. In June 2021, Muhammadu Buhari, the current president of Nigeria, inaugurated the University’s senate building.

Al-Ansar University is among the twelve new private universities the National Universities Commission licensed in 2022.
