The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has not published a calendar we could independently verify on its own website for the 2026/2027 session yet.
UNICAL 2026/2027 Academic Calendar: Current Status
Several Nigerian education news sites report that new students arrive in mid-October, returning students a week later, with lectures starting in early November and first-semester exams running into April. Those dates are at least internally consistent with each other, but we couldn’t confirm them directly against UNICAL’s own academic calendar page, so we’re presenting them as reported rather than confirmed.
UNICAL’s site does separately confirm that Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for 2026/2027 is underway, which tells us admissions are active even where the full teaching calendar isn’t independently verified yet. Check unical.edu.ng directly, or your faculty notice board, before locking in travel or housing plans around any specific date.
