The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education & Integrated Science include the following:
- Five SSCE credit passes, including Biology, Chemistry, English Language, and Mathematics.
Four of the five credits are named and the fifth carries no restriction. Biology and Chemistry are both compulsory here, which the JAMB form does not require.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Any three of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Agricultural Science
The JAMB combination works by group. English Language is compulsory and three papers come from a five subject pool, so either Chemistry or Biology may be left out.
Agricultural Science and Physics appear there as well, neither of which is required among the credits.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Integrated Science if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE (Integrated Science)
- NCE (Science Education)
- GCE ‘A’ level passes in two Science subjects
Direct Entry offers three routes, two through the NCE and one through GCE A Level passes in any two science subjects. None of them names an individual subject.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into YABATECH for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 150 or above in your JAMB result.

The Named Credits Behind YABATECH Education and Integrated Science
Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics are all required as credits, which makes the O Level stage far more prescriptive than anything that follows it.
In JAMB three papers are chosen from five sciences, and Direct Entry asks only for two science subjects or a relevant NCE. Secure the credits first, then make sure your score reaches 150 for the 2026/2027 session.
